Great ride again, with perfect weather! The front group also did the 7th street bridge in both directions in order to see all of the wonderful yarn-bombing. Cue sheets are meant to be broken sometimes...

Did you incorporate the 9th SB in your extra loop to make it 13? Seemed like a bit of a shame to have another bridge so close and not ride over it. Fun ride - I'm glad I dragged my lazy ass out of bed to finally do it!

I was going under the bridges, not over them, but I was watching for you guys. There were so many people out yesterday, biking, kayaking, just walking around, it was amazing. I wouldn't have been able to spot an organized ride from general traffic. Although if the invisible hand of the free market was really awake, there would be a floating Starbucks shop.

@salty, we hit 9th and 6th too. If it wasnt such a CF with all the construction it would have been nice to pick up the West End bridge, but maybe next year. @edmonds, I saw two other groups out yesterday on our ride. One was on the 31st street bridge -about 20 people in matching tan shirts; then we passed another group of about 15 people on the Ft. Duquesne bridge- no matching shirts but they were obviously together. Also - no bad drivers to report! (other than the deranged woman yelling into her cell phone the whole way down Penn in the Strip - I think she invented some new cuss words too)

There was another spread out group of people wearing black shirts with vertical bikes and numbers pinned on, anyone know what that was about? I mostly saw them around station sq. I might have assumed some kind of race but they looked more like casual riders.

I saw snake guy by the dasani lockers by the terminal building, they were doing a scavenger hunt. I think that's what the black shirts were.

Yes -it was a great ride! Thanks Salty for coming! Also, taking to some people, there were several return-riders from the 1st and 2nd year we did this ride, which I thought was pretty cool. Yes, there was a bike-scavenger run event that wasn't part of Bikefest (in terms of being in the calendar). Those people were donning bib numbers. There was also another ride going on & organized by the Dutch society/club from the Northside. They were just doing a leisure ride around town & hitting the Hobrahaus.

I had so much fun--thank you, Dan, Lucia, and anyone else who helped organize! And whoever placed the order for such beautiful weather was a genius.

I had fun. There were SO many other cyclists out. Loved it. I went to the pirates game in the afternoon and sat up above the 1st base line with a view of the sister bridges and saw at least one cyclist going across the Clemente bridge every time I looked.

So many groups of cyclists aht & abaht both weekend days. Too many to count, let alone to try to list. It was good practice for me, keeping my four-foot distance and/or slowing behind them. I don't drive that often anymore!

Thanks Marko - for leading the fast group - we couldn't have done it without your help! And yeah, crowded day on the trails!
