Almost used Joe's line this morning....
I was crossing Smithfield downtown this morning, and I almost blurted out Joe's "You'd be a lot cuter if....." line to a passing cyclist.
Nice looking guy, probably in his 20's wearing work clothes is pedaling up Smithfield near the library. He's got reflective leg bands on both legs, messenger bag, and hanging from the messenger bag, his HELMET.
I almost blurted out "you'd be a lot cuter if you were wearing that helmet" but I held myself back. It just doesn't have the desired effect when it comes from someone old enough to be the cyclists MOTHER.
Dang, it was on the tip of my tongue though! Made me laugh just thinking about it.

Yea, but it would have the same effect as if HIS mother had said it -- in other words, a roll of the eyes and a shrug of the shoulders. I will use it though -- you're right, it is just too good a line to NOT use.

I saw a Flock of Cycles guy look-alike in Oakland.
He had the "shock" of bleached hair in the front and was riding a fixie on the sidewalk.
He wasn't wearing a helmet. I was shocked.
