Anyone know anything about a pedestrian accident in Bloomfield this week?

I've submitted comments to the Community Policing Officers at the various Police Zones around the City AND to 311 requesting that they report pedestrian and bicycle accidents on their daily police blotter, so that a record of such incidents may be created.

They've gotten much better in recent weeks (although this may have nothing to do with my requests), or at least more such incidents are being logged in.

The post from earlier today about the cyclist accident on Butler Street reminded me to check this week's blotter entries.

I came across a report of a pedestrian accident on Liberty Avenue in Bloomfield on Monday, March 5th. Mid morning. The location was reported to be the 5100 block. I think that puts it somewhere in the stretch between Alexanders, Silkys and the Post Office.

Anyone hear anything about this incident?

Just trying to figure out some of the details to determine if it was operator error or a safety issue that can be addressed through signage, design or whatever.

That area is where drivers start to salivate over the lanes splitting near Baum.
