Bike stuff at Dick's Sporting Goods?

Someone at work gave me a $20 gift card to Dick's Sporting Goods. Figure I should get something practical and bike-related there - do they have cold-weather commuting stuff? Some foot covers would be swell

Otherwise, I'm just gonna get Browns swag

Depending on the store, they have an OK selection all things considered. Though, their prices are usually on the high end for clothing.

Wool socks.

A lot of their clearance stuff is a good deal. Wool socks are a good idea, and I saw a bunch of wicking wear on sale at the store in the North Hills the other day. They also carry tubes/pumps/etc., so maybe some back up "essentials"?

Hubby bought me my jacket and fall gloves there. I also got an emergency large u-lock there (last one, I think they weren't going to carry them anymore, lack of demand. cable locks everywhere).

Also, dicks is one of the few places that gives their bike techs health care. worth supporting.

Dicks sells oxygen in little spray cans. Didn't I post the photo of the grapefuit-flavored 02? (or at least it claims to be 02, I'm skeptical.)

Wait, they're dropping U-locks in favor of cable locks? Really?

They don't care about what their customers need, just what they want.

You might have trouble finding any Brown's gear at Dick's. Try the Strip District. I'm pretty sure a street vendor there is still selling the classic "Browns Suck/Couch Swallows" t-shirt.

Too bad Tim Couch is long gone. :)

I'm home in Ohio for the week. Sadly, I can find Stillerz crap just as easily as Browns gear here.

joe, rsprake, I should clarify - the Dick's at Pgh Mills is dropping u-locks. Mostly dirtbikes there, if any of them got close enough to an actual bike rack to lock up I'd be amazed (I'm paraphrasing the Dick's employee too). We were there to... I don't even remember why. My first time in a mall in two years, I think I'd like to wait another two years. Though I do like that one and how empty it is, I don't like the highway-only access.

+1 to cburch's suggestion.
