Bike trail open in Point State Park?

Hi, there, can anyone verify that the I can ride from the Strip along the Allegheny river into and around Point State Park? It shows the completed trail on this map here...but just wondering if this trail is really, finally open! Thanks!

Yes. From 21st street and other numbered streets - up to 24? - one can access the river trail in the strip. From the strip, the trail ramps down to river level at the convention center. From there you'll be at the river's edge, passing under the 9th, 7th, and 6th street bridges. After the bridges the trail passes under the fort duquesne bridge and enter point state park.

One you enter the park you can take an asphalt ramp that meanders up to the portal bridge and museum or simply stay straight to arrive at the fountain.

Thank you! Does it go around the fountain and head up the Mon a bit - then turn into the Park and come out at the Ft. Pitt Museum?

It stops at the fountain right now due to construction. If you want to go to the Mon wharf you can follow the path that goes around to the back of the museum and reach it via a narrow sidewalk.
