Bought our tickets!
Roll call: who else is coming to the party!? Come on people. Get excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just attempted to buy VIP tx - received errors on the final payment page - tried again with no luck. I'm sure my credit card info was accurate.
I'll try later. If it makes any difference, an fyi... I'm using the latest Safari browser on a Mac Pro Book. I'm not sure if there's a compatibility problem - shouldn't be.
The raffle stuff is awesome!
I bought a ticket. I think. I know the transaction went through. Um, do I get a ticket in the mail? I also got a membership, but haven't heard anything about that either.
Nevermind, I found the ticket in my email. But still unsure of the membership card.
psyched!
beth - thanks! the membership card will be sent to you in the mail. it takes a week or two to process.
teamdecafweekend, can you describe what happened or can you send us the error that you received? click and pledge has excellent customer support, but providing them with details will help.
thanks!
everyone who purchases online will be put on the will-call list, so even if you forget your ticket that is sent to you in an email, you can still get in.
Well the showclix ticket sales thing for construction junction's big pour was a huge failure this morning. Spent my money on a VIP ticket instead. Super excited about Friday!
Stay away from using showclix for any of your events. Click and pledge, on the other hand, worked great.
can one buy tixs at the BikePgh office in person?
sure, lucia, but we can't guarantee someone will be here when you stop by unless you call ahead.
How abouts tomorrow morning? On my way to work? Is 8:30am-9am too early?
I'll be in at 9
btw scott, nice interview this morning on kdka. dude seemed way into it with the whole "even if you dont have a bike go to the party" thing
Link to the that interview: http://kdka.com/video/?id=74820
Sounds good Scott! Be sort-of sharp!
Also..... nice interview! And hooray for a shout-out to the 12 Bridges ride!!
Scott, my latest attempt at ticket purchase worked fine, no errors. Sorry, I don't remember the specific error message.
Being on KDKA - Congrats to Bike -Pgh!
I'm fired up about the shout-out to the 12 Bridges Ride.
I'm going to (hopefully) be a first time attendee to this. I've been looking through the website and the message board and can't seem to find some info about the party. There's some friends of mine that are pretty much non-cyclists I'm going to try and convince to come and things like drink prices will help in pleading my case for a good time. I personally don't doubt anybody on this site's ability to party. Idea is to get them there and maybe they'll see how many people really are into cycling. Who knows. So help me out with details like if there's a full bar or not, drink ticket prices, type of music played, etc. Thanks!
new2, according to the other thread there will apparently be women in sparkly and/or poofy dresses. Maybe men too. What more could anyone want?
new2southsider: welcome! here's more info on the party: http://bike-pgh.org/blog/2010/07/13/fri-aug-6-bikepghs-annual-bikefest-kickoff-fundraiser-party/
you can buy tickets at the door or online till Thursday night. just go to www.bike-pgh.org homepage for the link to buy tickets. if you don't see it then we're not designing the site well.
if you want info on the silent auction, here you go: http://bike-pgh.org/blog/2010/08/02/bikefest-partys-premier-silent-auction-item-the-cycling-vacation-of-a-lifetime/
scott: Thanks! I'd been to all of those links before I posted on here and didn't see info that would answer my questions in my previous post. Is there a full bar? Drink ticket prices?
There is no full bar but as it says in the links, VIP gets you 5 drink tickets, general admission gets you 4, recession special gets you 2
Today is the last day to buy tickets online.
buy your VIP tickets! i'll be there at the salt of the earth table making an amazing boyd and blair cocktail!
say hi to me in a hopefully poofy defnitely sparkly dress. ill be throwing elbows to win the raffle bike this year.
look out brett and ben i have my eyes on you!
Looks like KDKA needs to get more 'stock cycling' footage - they showed the same clips over and over again.
Sweet that they got my photos up, though.
