You are a man of mystery and wonder.
Good luck.

That's all you get--for now....
All the welding is done. I just have to strip the frame and fork, paint, and assemble.
I did all of the metal fab in a little under a hour. Less than perfect, but I only had an our window to work.
I bet that head tube is massive! With that long fork, this will make for an awesome recumbent. >.>
Hmmm...one of the Atomic Zombie projects?
Not an Atomic Zombie project, but I wish I saw his website before I built it.
I'm building a swing bike next.
Update:
Schweeeeet!
The bloodstains really add to the overall aesthetic...like you just bisected an attacking turkey or something
Done.
beautiful. now what are you going to put in the bottom bottom bracket? and where might we see this bike out and about?
The original intention was to run another crank down there. Well, another set of gear, but no arms. There would be a chain from the top BB to the bottom BB, and another chain from the bottom BB to the freewheel.
I didn't have time to weld a bracket for a tensioner. between the two BB so I am only using the top for now.
It is very hard to get a rear derailleur to work with the chain running from the top crank to the freewheel, which is why I left the bottom BB shell. So, right now, it is just a single speed. I might see if I can get a front derailleur to work so I can make it a two speed, because the way it is, I am going to blow my knees out fast.
I rode about 8mi tonight around Oakland/Shadyside to get a feel for it. I will most likely be riding it to mass tomorrow with the hope someone will want to ride it part-way through, because I don't think I can handle more than 8mi on it.
I need to come up with some type of peg to make mounting easier. Right now, I can only mount it net to something tall.
A real beauty. The tall bikes I've seen before, look kind of, well, lumpy, this looks clean. Like maybe you just went to, say, Walmart and bought it off the shelf, seriously, it looks great.
That is going to look pretty sweet leading the pack at critical mass.
A nice spot for a peg would be midpoint along a seatstay, to "climb" up the back of the bike from a stop. As thin as the stays are a decent sized peg is liable to torque off or shear without a bracket-type peg - short leg for the peg and a long leg fully welded to thicken the section of the stay.
Very nice. Maybe you could rig some modified cranks with some sort of revolving lighting that match your pedaling into the lower bottom bracket, just to give evening rides a festive touch.
I have more chains than you!
Much thanks to Rick for the tensioner!
that bike RULES. i can't wait to see you ride it!
for some reason the words basketball player menses came to mind hehe.
Not cranky enough. Needs moar geers!
Did it get moar blood?
Thanks, Stef!
Yeah, it did, Dan.
I'm pumped to ride it this weekend!
Almost as much chain as I use...
Awesome...I can't wait to see it in Real Life.
I'm pretty excited to see the dudes try to load that into a trailer.
I was in a rush to weld the tab on and it was kind of dark in my garage (too lazy to pull out halogens), so when I realized I welded it a tad crooked, I quickly fixed it with a BFH.
I am pretty excited to ride it with gears. I'm going to be FLYING!
BROKE!
I mangled the bottom derailleur tonight on my test ride with gears. I think I have it fixed, but it looks like I will be spending tomorrow night getting the bike ready for the MS150...
At least it didn't break while you were en route to lake erie. That would've sucked.
Nick, one of the tellers at the PNC Bank in Lawrenceville asked me how you get on that
Haha!
Last night I road 6-7 miles and I am noticing people starting to recognize me.

Bumper Bike has a fan club--I have a handful of people that think I'm crazy.
I think more than a handful of people think bumper bike is crazy too.
I wonder what your nickname will be. Tall bike dude? double bike guy? sky-biker?
I watched you get on the "Is that a bike on a bike?" several times during the 5/21 FOC ride. Fairly elegant, IMHO. That opening FOC picture with the front of the bunch waiting at the first light shows you just a second before you mount. It looks like it's not all that different from a walking mount onto a unicycle. Just step on and away you go, very fluid. Only you have a second step to get up to the pedals.
Bike-on-a-bike-guy.
sky-biker?
