Just spoke with an officer from the zone 5 police department, the officer told me that the report for the crash and more details will be available, at the earliest, later this afternoon (he said more realistically to expect it tomorrow morning). I’ll post more details once I hear back from him.

Hmmm... Cyclist hit on a street where cars routinely drive like jackasses despite the fact that there are stop signs at every block I wonder what could have happened...

Morningside ave isn't one way. From next door morningside email group: "last night around 2am a young man riding his bike decided to take a nap in the middle of the 1400 block of Morningside Ave. He was very lucky someone stopped and call 911. It must have been a slow night because there were 3 police cars 1 fire engine and 2 paramedic vans." Wtf

I'm pretty sure that's not what @Pierce thought happened.

@Stefb I got it confused with Jancey and Chislett, and then changed the post to reflect I was wrong. Not too much different from when I was hit by a car; I got one firetruck, two cops, and one ambulance. @jonawebb Yeah, easy to see how I got mixed up: "A bicyclist was injured after being hit by a car in Morningside early Monday morning." I'll await more info before trusting the email group's word

Yeah I thought that the group email was too whacky not to post.

When I was a freshman in high school, I went unconscious while riding my bike and fell in the middle of an intersection, so I can sympathize :P
