Dirty Dozen Info?

I'm Lynne Glover with VisitPittsburgh, looking to find a few more details ont he upcoming Dirty Dozen bike ride through the 'Burgh's steepest streets. I've been to the website -- www.dannychew.com -- but can't find contact info for Danny chew nor the time / date of the event. I understand it's an annual event that takes place the Saturday after Thanksgiving? Anybody that has participated in year's past can contact me directly at 412-325-0295 or e-mail lynne.glover@visitpittsburgh.com. I'm looking to promote this event to newspapers and other media outlets. Thanks in advance!

The short answer is 10a Saturday 11/28 at the Washington Blvd Oval.

The longer answer is I don't think this event should be promoted any more than it is. Already ~200 people show up and violate all sorts of traffic laws and pee in peoples' yards. Advertising it to more people, is, in my opinion, a mistake. It is very kind of you to promote cycling in Pittsburgh though. Perhaps you could interview Chew for an article?

+1 Mayhew

I think that because the DD has become such a tradition for cyclists in Pittsburgh people tend to forget that it is a completely unsanctioned/unregistered/unpermitted/uninsured group ride and not an actual race.

Danny is the story, not so much the event.
