Discount beers for cyclists @ the Cantina
Just learned yesterday that the Round Corner is offering cyclists $2 drafts ( they pick one a week ) on Mondays. sweet.

Funny timing for someone to mention the Round Corner Cantina. I went there for the first and probably last time last night.
A young couple came in with a kid. The bartenders immediately started freaking out and, with the entire bar watching, demanded they leave. Yeah, little kids aren't great for maintaining a pleasant atmosphere in a small pub, but if they had to kick them out they could have at least been, oh, I don't know, discreet? apologetic?
Sorry to editorialize, but my favorite thing about Pittsburgh is that it's unpretentious it is. That was a display of exactly the kind of yuppie hipster elitism I moved here to get away from.

Does the Round Corner permit smoking? There's some deal that bars can allow smoking if, and only if, they ban children. The bartenders might have been fearing for their jobs more than for the ambiance.

it's probably because they just opened and it's their first place. I know how that goes, the highest stress levels imaginable for at least 6 months preventing rational decision making. They will figure it out soon enough
