forum settings?

id like to be notified by email if i get a private message, but i cant find a way to change that. there are a few options here: http://bike-pgh.org/wp-admin/profile.php

but none of them seems to help. can anyone shed light on this, or at least tell me that im out of luck?

I think (but I don't know for sure) that the "main" site and the board are not really the same account even though there's some kind of link between them.

From the board, try clicking your name at the top and then "edit", i.e.: http://bike-pgh.org/bbpress/profile/melange396/edit

Do you have an email address listed there? FWIW, I do get email when I receive PMs, although I don't see any setting for it on that page or elsewhere - but it could be I just can't remember where it is.

The link that salty described, when I do the same for myself, does show an email address. And yes, I do get an email on that account when I get a PM from this site.

I've found that the PM feature isn't 100% reliable - I've talked to others who agree.
