Found Specialized Mt. bike. Is it yours? Was it stolen?
I pulled up to the brewery yesterday morning and there was a bike lying on the sidewalk in front - not on my doorstep, but down the block a little ways. Upon closer inspection, I see that this is not the typical department store crap-bike I see tossed by the side of the street here every other month (what's up w/ that?), but a REAL bike. Front tire is a little low, which is probably why it was dumped, but otherwise it's in solid shape.
I put a note up on the building where it was lying, brought it inside out of the rain, and gave it a nice fresh beer to calm its nerves. I'm thinking it was stolen and then just dumped when a buyer could not be found.
It's a mt bike, Specialized, but I won't offer any more detail than that. If you can identify it, you can come and pick it up.

Sorry, no, it's not the silver/black Rockhopper Comp. I should have mentioned that I checked that listings here.
And that's also a "no" on the early 90's Rockhopper too.

Man, that sucks. I've lost 3 bikes to thieves - 4 if you count the banana seat/butterfly handlebar ride I lost when I was about 9. It's a sickening feeling - especially when they're so personal that they can't be replaced.
But yeah, unfortunately this is definitely not it. Without giving away anything (so that it may someday go to it's rightful owner), it's easy to see that there are some BIG things about it that don't match.
