FS: 1983 or 84 Specialized Stumpjumper Sport as fixed or tourer

Hey.

I want to get rid of a vintage stumpjumper sport that is currently set up as a winter fixed gear with stainless berthoud fenders. But I don't know what to sell it as. It works fine as a dependable winter bike, but it's well documented as a capable touring bike and even something to hop around in the woods with. I can get you on your way toward having it set up as a touring bike (original, well-kept, sealed bearing wheels, bar end shifters, drop bars and brake levers, etc.) if you're interested.

Or I could just sell it to you as is, and you figure the rest out. I just want to get rid of it. It fits like a 55-56 when it has 47's on. I have street tires for it as well, and probably a slag heap of other components that would make it more versatile. Let me know. Or if you think no one will want this and I have to keep it until the world gets all melty and reclaims its elements from our selfish metallurgical uses, then say that too.

also, there's a shimano front dynohub laced to a specialized rim that i've never had the chance to use. that's helpful for winter night rides and long trips. you'll love it, just like i love erok.

Do you have any idea as to price in its current fixed gear state?

Very interested, in either fixed or touring states, depending on the price. My lady friend rides one of these that is too small or me, but this sounds perfect.

It would be like $250 to $300 or so depending on everything included and what you're interested in doing with it. I hope that sounds reasonable.
