How often do you read the Message Board?

I visit daily, but I post very little. I often wonder how many others are reading the message boards and remaining relatively silent.

How about you?

I normally have it running in the background with my gmail and google reader windows and every once in a while I hit refresh to see if anything new or interesting is happening.

E'rry day.

About the same as email; it's one of several tabs up in my non-work Firefox window. Maybe once an hour during the work day, maybe two, three times a day on the weekend. I guess that's a lot.

I look at it a few times per day, but I don't click on every thread. Currently, I'm not posting super-often. It goes in spurts! But I definitely keep up with threads of interest and come here first to find out up-to-the-minute news about local cycling stuff, updates on thefts, etc.

like stu, I check it when I check my email.

I check it at least once an hour if I'm at a computer, but if I have a day without work, I usually won't check it.

I know of at least a dozen people who read the board, but haven't joined.

I used to read the threads when an interesting one was shared on facebook, but since I joined, I check it every day, sometimes a few times.

Weekdays, several times, as breaks from working, along with websites, personal e-mail, etc. Weekends are more random, but I tend to check if I'm doing an e-mail check. Like now.

At least daily, but post infrequently. Most of the time I don't even login, I just peruse looking for anything interesting and wishing that I lived in the city and not Moronville (Monroeville).

icemanbb - Monroeville isn't the Den of Dismal I once thought it was - Steering clear of 22, a lot of it's bikeable, and the city is just a hop and a skip away! In fact, the UPMC is going up at Haymaker and 22 b/c a band of Monroeville-ites got together and said "NO" to Walmart, and WON.

Though you can't spell Monroeville without EVIL, I think there's some good in them thar hills. Check out sustainablemonroeville.org they're full of nifty ideas (and have adopted me as one of them, though I'm in PH).

oh - topic at hand - all the time during the week (business hours only), weekends when I'm killing time or trying to find info for rides (rare)

ejwme - Yea a lot of it is bikeable and I do some riding out in the area (most of them to get me into Pittsbugh). I was glad that Walmasrt didn't get in but the Rt22/48 intersection is a nightmare already.

LOL at "You can't spell Monroeville without EVIL"...

I read the board almost every day, most days more than once. I only post maybe once a week, though, sometimes less.

sustainablemonroeville.org doesn't work, but sustainablemonroeville.blogspot.com does

so, i read this a few times, and now i'll post. That's what I do.

I read at least every other if not every day and sometimes I just get in a posting mood.

Check it at least once a day, and sometimes several times during the day if a hot topic is going on. When busy at work I check less often and post even less.

An hour without the board is an hour without sunshine.

"Monroeville-ites got together and said "NO" to Walmart, and WON." ...But Penn Hills/Plum didn't...

I always thought my friend who works at a bike shop out there was crazy for riding there, but I actually enjoyed riding out there while I was house sitting for 10 days a few months ago.

so, i have to admit I thought I checked the board like once a day. Since i've posted that I noticed it's more like 10 times a day :)

Like you, Bikelove2010, I've been counting my visits since I posted on this thread, and yeah, I visit more often than I thought. There's always somethin' worth reading.
