It's ALIVE!!!
Actually, I'm alive. Today was my first commute since March--I was down with pnemonia, and it kicked my butt.
I had forgotten how good it feels to get to work by bike...I feel so much more alive than I have for the past month. Heck, I had a guy scream at me to get off the effin' road today, and I responded in the best way I could. I threw him a kiss. Not the reaction he was expecting.
Just thought I'd share.

I really, really like that. Will have to remember to do next time I get honked for no reason.
BTW, are you going back via Sycamore on the ride home? I have absolutely no reason to go that way... except it's a beautiful day to look out over the city from Grandview. And coming back after a long layoff figure maybe a second rider helps make the climb a little easier. Let me know if you'd have an interest or if you want to wage that battle privately.

I kept talking myself out of stopping to rest, and made it all the way without doing so. A funny moment, too. A young lady who was walking up took the shortcut at the top, and stood at the corner clapping as I came up to the end. She just said "Nice job!" I generally leave the Strip around 4:30 or 4:45, hopefully one of these days we can talk each other out of stopping!
