Hi all,
It has been closed for awhile, but I was curious if anyone knew WHY the jail trail is closed between Golden Triangle Bike Rentals and Grants street. It is past the Liberty Bridge, but before the Mon Wharf switchbacks. I can't figure out why it is closed and it thoroughly disrupts my morning commute. I appreciate any knowledge on why and timeline and when it will reopen.

Announcement posted in early July said it would be
2-3 weeks. I think someone confused "WEEKS" with "MONTHS"

Thank you! I knew I read something somewhere, but it has clearly taken WAY longer.

OMG, that's fabulous.
Over the course of the closure, I learned just how gawdaful the situation is for pedestrians trying to cross First Ave. The planters and parked cars there conceal peds to motorists, you've gotta stand in the middle of the street and give the stink eye until someone stops to let you cross in the zebra stripes. I nearly got rear-ended by cars on several occasions when I stopped to let people cross.
