June 8, SPC Public Participation Planning Meeting

Old Man Peduto has a recent blog post on an upcoming Public Meeting regarding the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission's "2040 Transportation and Development Plan."

SPC is the quasi-governmental body that Counties, Cities, Townships and Boroughs in Southwestern Pennsylvania work with in order to obtain funding and other support from Federal programs pertaining to transportation projects - roads, bridges, transit, etc.

The meeting begins 6pm on Wednesday, June 8, 31st Floor of the Regional Enterprise Tower.

When it comes to projects of regional significance, the SPC is our link between local and federal bureaucracies.

The meeting will describe the long range transportation planning process, which establishes the 25 year vision for the region. It will not focus on individual projects. Your participation in the meeting is appreciated, but if you can not attend in person, you can still submit your comments to comments@spcregion.org. Perhaps you can use "LRP Comments" in the subject line. The LRP itself is available online at www.spcregion.org.
