Last chance to comment on the TIP

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC) is creating the draft 2015-2018 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), which identifies the region’s priority transportation projects for the next four years. The regional TIP is updated every two years in a cooperative process of local, state, and federal agencies, as well as the general public. I passed along this comment via the form. Hoping maybe we can get some action on this. Drain grates with wide longitudinal slots are a danger to bicycle riders. Several have been reported through proper channels but are unfixed after 4-5 years. Many are also recessed such that hitting one would cause loss of control even if the tire did not land in the slot.
