Let's go on a bike ride at lunch Thursday!
Hello! (new more enticing title)
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in testing a couple of different routes for the bridesmaid dress ride with me? I'd be particularly interested in having someone try the route with me who hasn't ridden on city streets very often.
The actual Bridesmaid Dress Ride will be October 15 at 6 pm. I would like to test a couple of different routes and distance, mostly around Lawrenceville and the Strip. It will avoid as many hills as possible.
This ride is to be all about fun. It will not be any faster than the newest / slowest rider is able to maintain at an enjoyable and un-intimidating pace. It will be just about an hour long, so something of a leisurely stroll, but on bicycles. If you're used to going fast all the time, this will be a nice time to ride your bike in a different manner (and in a bridesmaid dress!)
The ride meets at the Bike Pittsburgh office during Carfree Fridays at 6pm. We'll have time for primping and a short instruction on how to ride a bicycle in a dress and then leave around 6:30. I think we'll be done by 8-830 and have time to be back in Lawrenceville to enjoy the arty things taking place all over the neighborhood.
So... anyone want to test the route with me?
I'm free to try it Monday-Wednesday. Lunchtime would be nice now that it's cooler.

Noah -- Thanks for pointing that out, I couldn't tell when you were riding by even though your bike looked familiar.
I could do Thursday AND Friday. Just about an hour, meet at Bike Pittsburgh at noon. I'm doing it anyway so if you want to come, join me!
