Makeshift fender

Not exactly eye candy, more like eye blue cheese dressing, but this is what I'm using for a rear fender. All it took was a bunji cord and a scrap of plastic found alongside the road on a wet day.

KFC lid fender

EDIT: Looks like you're going to have to copy/paste the URL to see it, until I can figure out how to make the image tag work.

Let's try that again:

Nope, can't make the image appear.

OK, howdya do that, anyway?

Nope, can't make the image come up. The URL by itself works just fine. It's like the entire IMG tag gets stripped out.

Huh...I dunno what's up w/ the image tag.

Sure, let's try it again.

btw, I replaced this a while back with a real fender. But this sure helped one rainy day.

Edit: Nope, IMG tags just plain do not work reliably on this site, as several other people have also pointed out. The tag just gets stripped out as if it was never there.

Here's the tag, minus the brackets:

IMG SRC="http://www.flickr.com/photos/26723674@N06/2870281951/" ALT="KFC lid fender"

The picture displays just fine.

you have to be careful with flickr. you're linking to the page that has the image on it, not to the image itself

this is the url for the image:

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3027/2870281951_f28ba80c71.jpg

see how it ends in .jpg

therefore, if you use that with the image tag you get this:

one way to check to make sure you have the right url is to put it into your browser. you should see nothing but the image in the upper left corner. no text, nada
