I tried to post before, but lsot it.

Currently no trails that go all the way to Mo-town.

The Sheepskin trail , off the GAP past Connellesville will eventually go 32 miles to link with Morgantowns North Mon Trail. Currenlty the Sheepskin Trail only goes two miles.

You could take PA Bike Rt A to the WV border, then Rt 19 or WV Rt 100 the rest of the way.

There's a rail trail along the Mon for 5 or 6 miles near Rices landing, PA. I don't think there are plans to link it up with anything else.

I did a trip to Morgantown in April and reported it here in enough detail to get complaints about the length.

Thanks,

I really don't like riding along car routes on highways. Oil Addicts yelling...

Would it be possible to blaze through where the trails are not complete. I would rather ride along rail road tracks or on access roads. I am building a hybrid road bike for this ride. I will ride roads if I have to.

What was your total time 6 hours? I read the post, but I didn't figure that out.

Don't worry about my old-assed time. Glaciers pass me on hills. It was my first ride greater than 10 miles for the year.

Distance from the end of the T is about 72 miles with a few climbs. Reddan would do it in 5 hours. It took me longer.

Pgh -> Connellesville -> Point Marion -> Mo-Town is about 96 miles.

Don't know if the Sheepskin Trail is blazable or not. I'd be intereested in hearing one way or the other. Are old railroads usually blazable?

There is a bikely route from Connellesville to Point Marion referenced in the thread, you could print that out in case blazing fails.

Good luck,

Mick

This topic should be a sticky.
