Menorah parade, 2016

Hi all. First of all, anyone any who would like to ride this year with Chabad are very welcome to do so. The weather forecast looks good and the celebration at the waterfront (under the bridge opposite the Macy's) should be quite a lot of fun. This page: http://www.chabadpgh.com/…/…/jewish/Grand-Menorah-Parade.htm gives more detail (Bikes should go after the last car passes at Forbes and Shady). We have the ok from the police liason to take the left lane going down Browns Hill Road which is important given the terrible recessed manholes in the right lane. Mordechai Saxon has offered to be the crash wagon again this year. Thanks! Even so, both Browns Hill Road itself, and the route options back to squirrel hill, do make this a less youngster/newbie friendly event, and compounding that, we'll have no formal ride leadership as I'm out, my co-leader in prior years won't know if he can make it until barely before and I know a number of folks will be at Lucia M Aguirre and Kevin Koch's wedding (congratulations!) It would be heartening to me, of course, to see a few determined folks make it anyway (if you do, please take a picture or two!). Chag sameach!

Graphic is confusing. Tonight is night 5. So 5 candles plus the main shamash.

Any idea about what time the parade will pass forbes and shady for the bikers to join up?  I am assuming 5 to 10 minutes after the cars leave from their starting point.
