NEW (to me) Bike!

Thanks in VERY large part to everyone's great advice on my last thread, I bought my first bike last night!

I checked out some of the shops that were suggested, tested lots of bikes, and finally settled on one that felt nice and fit my budget. I ended up at THICK Bikes--shout out to Chris who was amazingly patient and helpful! I spent a little less on the bike so I could feel betetr about the accessories. Bike itself is a Trek 700, and I outfitted her with fenders and a rack for now. If I knew how to post a picture I would, haha. I'm really excited to take her for a short ride when I get home tonight!

I also wanted to say you guys are seriously great and super helpful. I can't wait to get more involved!

I agree with redddan. The Flock ride would be a great way to get accustomed to riding int he streets.

An abbreviated option is available, as they will be picking some folks up along the way, when the Yoga for Cylists class lets out. You could meet them/us there.

All the details can be found via the link.

My wife has the aluminum version and has enjoyed it.

Posting photos: Post a pic on some site like Flickr. Get the actual URL to the photo, starting with http and ending in ".jpg", then type this, replacing square brackets with less- and greater-thans.
