OT - Anyone with $20 and some free time tonight....

Tonight is my school's Beer Pairing Dinner and reception! I'll be in the kitchen, working, but it would be great to know that I'm cooking for some of you guys!

The dinner+reception might still have a few seats left, and tickets are $75 (6 courses, one beer with each), but the reception is $20, there's still space left!

reception includes:

-Sausage stuffed mushrooms steamed in beer

-Crostini with roasted peppers and gorgonzola

-crostini with fresh apple slices, caramelized onions, goat cheese, and thyme

-Hand made soft pretzels and beer cheese sauce

-Cheese display from Emerald valley

-Chocolate platter from Chef Sally Frey's Chocolates class

(Everything but the stuffed mushrooms is vegetarian)

There will also be tastings of Victory Brewery's Prima Pils and Hop Whallop.

There will also be raffle tickets being sold for fabulous gift baskets, one of which includes lots of bike pittsburgh swag!

Obviously, you must be 21.

Who's going?

Reception will be held in the gallery at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, 420 Boulevard of the Allies downtown. Find the dinosaur that's dressed in Gryffindor colors, and you're there!

6 beers with dinner - I'm hoping they're little beers, 'cause that sounds like a LOT. mmm... :D

That also sounds like a fabulous spread! I can't make it, but I may have to eat lunch early just hearing about it.

yeah, the beers with dinner are all from Victory Brewery, and they're serious beers - we're doing about three-ounce pours for each course.

The dino is still dressed as Harry Potter? I preferred the Lady Gaga getup from a few months back :)
