Good article, but they should have added that the river trails are also easily accessible for commuters who live in other parts of town....

I still think these people are Wusses for not even trying:

Liz Keller and her husband, Liam Cooney, passed up moving to Morningsiide or Polish Hill for a Lawrenceville house because of its close proximity to a trail and easy bike ride to the North Side.

This is real progress. The newspaper least likely to be friendly to bicycling puts out a nicely written story about real non-Lycra people who have chosen to adopt cycling as a perfectly normal way to get around.

businesses, homeowners, ... I wonder if any other sorts of people might be interested in bikeways?

(To be fair, the article itself acknowledges that renters might also be interested.)

Those who work in the city. A co-worker, who noticed me commuting, has now taken interest in at least utilizing the trails. They live 30 miles north of the city and drive in.
