What is really cool in that story is that there is such a thing as an Awesome foundation, which is “devoted to forwarding the interest of awesomeness in the universe,” according to its website. I wonder if folks here can come up with other things to propose to the foundation.

Since the Wabash tunnel traffic is one way but the tunnel has two lanes and is vastly underutilized, convert the other lane to a cycle track? Obviously gotta to a lot of work on either side to make something even decently bike friendly, but Mt. Washington is pretty daunting and this would at least give create the possibility of making something attractive to a broad base.

I wonder if they'll let us take our bikes on the zipline? At least during off-peak hours?

What would be perfect is if this thing would go to the casino and have them help with the costs/organization of getting the thing off the ground

I'm suspicious of casino involvement in anything.

I think a way to attach a bicycle to a zipline would fit the Awesome foundation's requirements. You could use it anywhere there was a zipline, not just on the Mt. Washington line.
