Totally down with this, but can't make it there by that time. I am with you in spirit.

I plan to be there.

Slow people are welcome, right? I'm thinking I might go.

It is a very slow ride, like 10mph, and usually only about ten miles in length. It is more of a procession than a normal ride. I have found them to be very emotionally moving. If you can possibly make it, I would encourage you to come and support those who have been injured or killed.

I'll be there. I'm going to try to go early and go to the MovePGH workshop too.

Something to add: If I remember correctly ((or someone correct me, please)), in the past people have worn a black arm-band if you have been a victim of a cycling accident due to a car, or a red arm-band if you know know someone who has.

@bikeygirl: Other way around, IIRC. Red if you've been injured, black otherwise.

There are usually people at the ride start with material for arm bands, but doing your own in advance certainly wouldn't hurt.

I ducked out early to run an errand, but I was really moved by the amount of people who showed up, as well as the signs folks had on their backs for Rui Hui Lin, Don, and others.

This was awesome. I really loved riding silently with a huge group and having a chance for reflection. Fantastic experience.

Hopefully I will be lucky enough to still wear a black arm band next year. Pretty horrifying seeing how many cyclists on the ride who had been hit.

+1. Nearly got rear-ended/side-swiped in the Strip on my way home with my In Memoriam sign still on my bag. Do not understand people in this city sometimes.

It was indeed great to see all the people who showed up today for the "Ride of Silence". And I second Rachel's sentiment: thank you, Jim Logan & PMTCC for organizing this.

For my first group ride I really enjoyed tonight. Time to reflect on the tragedies that happened to all the cyclists. Thanks for the ride, hopefully many more.

I am wondering how many people there were. My guess is 75? Did anyone count? I was trying to sign every one in and I think I missed at least a dozen people because it was time to roll out.

Oops, I know I didn't sign in. I have no idea how many were there, though.

As everyone has said, this was a really nice ride.

I counted closer to 60 and that is what Jim had tweeted. I overheard an individual at OTB afterwards give the same count.

The ghost bike at Meyran and Louisa Streets was first kinda trashed and now is missing. Can we get it back up there?

I had a rough count in the 60 range, but people were moving around too much for me to get much closer than that.

I was methodically making my way through the group with the sign in sheet and then I realized that there were so many people it was going to be dang near impossible.

i got there just as the group was rolling out, so i didnt sign in either (or get an armband).
