ok, i'm going to do this.

i'm assuming that this service will extend to the entire capital limited line. which is chicago to dc, with stops in cleveland and pittsburgh, among others. does anyone have contacts in any of these other cities along the train route?

I asked about going from cleveland to pittsburgh, and they said that they don't offer roll-on service for that route, and I'd have to get a box. pain. so a roll-on would be awesome for that route.

consider the letter written.

I'm writing too. I just recently took the train from Pittsburgh to Chicago(then a bus to madison). I saw a few people with their front wheels get on/off the train. I'm assuming their bikes were in boxes. There's obviously people who would use it. Or, I guess it's not so obvious to Amtrak.

I think the current letter writing campaign is specifically to cement the possibility of getting roll-on service to D.C. I've written here on other threads about getting the same on the Phila-NYC service, which I think is also the Cleveland train.

We need both, but one is a lot further in the pipeline than the other. I'd like to think that getting the one in place will make Philly and all the rest that much easier.

I got to take my ride on SEPTA this past weekend- a happy experience that'd I'd like to expand.

I'm glad another guy had his bike there as well, as I'd likely otherwise perhaps not know how best to get situated...

I just spent the weekend on this trail. I will totally write a letter! Thanks for the heads up.
