Is this fixed-gear track racing?
I'm wanting to get into it, just haven't known where to start.
The weather is looking promising for first Saturday Training / Intro to Racing at the newly paved Washington Boulevard Oval tomorrow morning. Looks like the rain isn't coming in until the afternoon.
The session is geared towards riders wanting to improve their skills and better understand what it means to race a bike.
Who should attend?
- New riders curious about racing
- Riders looking to improve their bike handling skills
- Riders wanting to be more comfortable in a pack
- Anyone looking to improve their fitness
- People looking to meet new riders
- Riders training for MS150 or long rides
- Anyone looking to enjoy all that gorgeous new pavement
Cost for the session is $5. Start time is 10:00 a.m.
Please respond to this email if you are planning to attend. I would also ask that you forward this on to anyone outside of the ACA. ACA membership is not a requirement.

I think its any "road" racing. As they said.. ms150, etc.
@flyS564 You should look into the Friday night racing that should be starting in June. Iron City is taking over from Oscar for a bit this year.
I'm actually looking to get into road racing, I don't have a fixed gear. I'm doing the MS150 and Tour De Cure, but know they're fun rides and not competitive.
Wasn't sure if "oval" always means fixed-gear or not.
Then you'll want to come to one of the Saturday events.
drat! if only i had known about this earlier, i might not have separated my shoulder last night!
