If you read all it the demands, this might get me to stop cycling on our roadways. Seriously, this is pretty crazy. The PG article is good as I saw it quoted, but I don't have access.
Please tell me we aren't going backwards. I am already dealing with quads, dirt bikes and lawlessness all over our city, do we now have to deal with worrying about who is blowing through red lights and such?

It does not eliminate enforcement. It means sending tickets to car owner rather than confronting people for minor infractions. Might mean more enforcement for things like speeding and running lights and stop signs.

I'll be sure to drink as I please and just drive around as I feel I am entitled to do so considering they will just mail me a ticket if I feel like blowing through a stop sign or red light. If I hit anyone, sorry.

gg's right. Traffic stops for minor infractions is how drunkards are caught.
From the other side, I can imagine getting tickets in the mail for having gone 11 miles over the limit a few months ago.

As I said above, could mean more enforcement for erratic driving, speeding, dangerous things, since they won’t be pulling people over because there is an air freshener hanging from the mirror.
