Anyone know what is going on with this? There was a correction to the Post article yesterday.

"Correction/Clarification: (Published Jan. 7, 2008) Venture Outdoors is not sponsoring or coordinating the Solstice Cycling Challenge, though employees of the organization started it. This article as originally published Dec. 28, 2008 was incorrect. Also, all prizes have been eliminated. Those who paid $20 for the chance of winning a prize will get their money back."

Challenge is still on but we've decided to eliminate the money prize. Seems that our insurance broker frowns on illegal gambling. So, I'm still tallying mileage and we'll still be meeting each month at the OTB Bicycle Cafe. Save the $$ for drink.

Keep on pedaling.

Seth

Can't you just call it an entry fee to take part in this fun event? Everyone who registers could then get at least one raffle ticket. Those who bike x miles per week could get one additional raffle ticket, those who bike y miles per week could get 2 additional tickets and z miles could get 3. then all tickets at the end of the month go into a drawing.
