May want to file a police report and see if they have any security footage at Forbes tower. They have lots of cameras.

Stolen Bike front of Forbes Tower Oakland
My co-worker had her bike stolen tonight (Fri. ) in front of Forbes Tower in Oakland. She had it locked up to the bike racks in front of the building on Forbes and Meyran. Just got it as a gift for graduation.
Diamondback clarity. White. Performance hybrid. 15" frame.

She filed a police report and also reported it to UPMC security.

I am sorry to hear of your co-workers loss. It was good to post the information here. And, it is great that he/she has the serial no. That info should be shared only with the police, however, as it firmly establishes chain of ownership.
