STOLEN CANNONDALE ROAD BIKE

Via FB:

All, My brand new Cannondale CAAD 10 road bike was stolen out of the back of my car while parked in my mother's driveway (on mother's day) just off of Walnut Street in Shadyside.

It is a White CAAD 10 48 cm frame with Red accents, with white handlebar tape a Rear Power Wheel, no front wheel. Black Specialized Seat, SRAM Components.

This bike is very identifiable, please keep an eye out with me locally, at your bike shop, on Craig's List & on EBAY.

I'm crushed...I've had the bike for less than 2 weeks, was ready to start racing again this week after having been without a road bike since last August. :(

Photo attached of factory spec Bike in the same color. Differences with my bike: My seat is a black specialized, there was no front wheel attached and the rear wheel is a stock powertap wheel (yellow and aluminum hub). Bike build is very distinct.

Please email me with any leads or consolations: suzanneatkinson@gmail.com

Ouch. Even when I have my bike in a car I lock up the rear wheel to the frame.

So sorry for your loss, Chris. Hopefully it will turn up , and soon.

If you bought it that recently with a credit card, they may cover the theft. Not that it wouldn't be better to get your bike back.

Suzanne Atkinson is awesome by the way. I've only heard her speak, but she's a swimmer many of us aspire to be.

To be clear, it's not my bike. I'm reposting for Suzanne's FB account.

Stuff like this makes me hate people. I live just a few blocks away from Walnut, so I'll be sure to keep my eyes peeled for this one around the neighborhood.

from Suzanne - "my bike was spotted in an alley based of the description posted. Police came and we cut the lock. About a dozen neighbors are now looking out for the scumbag....we think we know who he is."

Thanks everyone...the power of social media solved this case!! I've got my baby back. Cyclists certainly look out for one another. :)

YAY!

Where was it found? Was it that same alley near Butler street that other stolen bikes have been found?

(Hiya, Suzanne!)
