Does anyone have instructions for this? When I bolt the carrier to the only holes available, it sits on top of the back wheel. There weren't any metal extenders in the packaging other than the ones that I think bolt further up (need to drill into the frame for these?) to keep it level with the ground.
Bit of a nightmare for someone such as myself. Trying to get rid of using a 20lb back pack while commuting and switch to this. Using a cannondale r600 road bike.
Could it be that your bike is not a 26" bike?

That was my thought. I guess 700c is like 27"? Why he gave me this rack then, I don't know. The guy at the shop knew it was for a road bike, and I got a bunch of 700x23 tubes too, so I thought it was all good.
Can't wait to be back-pack free. 
If you can't return it for something that fits better, you can always use some p-clips and mount it further up the seat stays.
Also, when you get a road-sized rack you probably don't want to be drilling holes in your bike for the top support. P-clips are the way to go for that.
I received the wrong rack. I used P-clips to install with the new one, don't worry.
Got some Axiom water proof panniers now, thinking about putting them on a front rack though, possibly ordering another set for the rear for touring.
I was also handed the wrong fenders... And two right pedals.. Going to just order a set of fenders online this time. I'm sure I'll have issues installing with the rack.
What shop is this?
