The construction of it is really interesting. It seems to be PVC tubing, packing tape, and metallic film. I am amazed how accurate the proportions are.

It really makes me want to build one.

So Nick, here's what you need if you build this thingy:

Some kind of storage spring or even a clutched flywheel so you could sit at a stoplight and keep pedaling while at a stop, put about 30 seconds of pedaling in, then be able to just dump the clutch. I bet you could get a pretty good jump out of that thing. Maybe with that retro-gear that was on here before. Let that simmer in your noggin.

I won't be building something that big until I can find an affordable workspace in the city.... Plus, I already have way too many projects, and not nearly enough time.
