The Howard Stern Show and the Great Allegheny Passage

Ok, I almost hate posting this because I don't want to get into the heated debate of who loves Howard and who despises him, but....

One of the main staff on the Stern show has recently brought up that he hear about a bike trail from DC to Pittsburgh, and he says he is thinking about biking it. FYI- he is new to biking and not in the greatest shape.

So, viewpoints aside, the business man in me sees some opportunity for Bike PGH to get some national publicity (if they want it from Stern). I really haven't thought through how you'd go about it and the implications of Stern Press, but I could see a charity ride on the GAP or something like that. Stern's wife is from Pittsburgh, and she does a lot of charity work.....

So...... I have no idea what you all will think of this, but again, I saw the connection, and I wanted to point it out. It's yours to do with as you please.

I think this shows a small, but nationa and mainstream change in attitudes. I would expect Stern to have someone like Mike Pintek on bikes.

Times are changing.

Note: 4th google result for the query "Mike Pintek" comes up with the Bike-Pgh discussion about Pintek's brainless bike slime - "Mike Pintek is a dangerous idiot." It nice that Google is doing some good in the world.

"Mankini" sounds like an unsavory mixed drink.

Wait, I guess that should be "cocktail".

@Mick: I would not be surprised if Google started providing location-sensitive search results.

Well, if he does only have eight shows left, it looks like I'll be coming here for "Dick jokes."
