I have seen something similar with bikes before. Some chalk dispenser on the rear wheel that applied a fresh coat to the road as they rode. With enough riders it created an unofficial bike lane, clearly marking where the the major cycling arteries were.

I remember when this happened, a bunch of drivers got fairly pissed about the paint spray on their cars. Can't say I blame them.

Comes out looking pretty cool, though.

I'd be pretty pissed too, cleaning my bike would be just as difficult.

Not to mention that paint is slippery.
