Does anyone know , from which direction cyclists are most likely to be hit? From the rear, front, side?

Thanks for the responses. From the Jeffery Hiles paper:
"We can say that motorists overtaking bicyclists accounted for 10.5 percent of the non-fatal crashes in the Cross-Fisher study, so that about nine out of 10 car-bike collisions involved crossing and turning movements. "

IIRC car doors is much more deadlier than cars themselves. And right-left hook are among most often cause of collisions in a city.

Texting wasn't nearly as big way back in 1996, but 10% is nothing to sneeze at.
