just go to REI and get a replacement stem and then return it when your new one comes... or ask around, someone will loan you a stem, no need to buy a new bike to wait for shipping!

Where to pick up a winter bike?
The snow is here, the stem for my winter bike is not here yet (I should have claimed my Bike Friday needs were "urgent"), and I don't want to trash up my everyday mountain bike with salt.
Goodwill? Walmart/Target? See if Free Ride has a Fix-for-Sale?
Traveling back in time and buying one at a summer garage sale would have been the best move, I guess.

It is a stem for a folding bike (the part got recalled and they are making new ones), can't get an off the shelf replacement.
