Some really great weekend cycling events

Here is a selection of some of the cycling happenings this weekend in the ‘Burgh

  • Fri, Sept 11: PGH Party for a Purpose – BikePGH – A benefit party for BikePGH – Easy Street, 301 Grant St., Downtown INFO
  • Sat, Sept 12: Seagull Century Training Ride to Somewhere – The Seagull is less than 3 months away so we’re getting ready. Come for a ride to somewhere (EVEN IF YOU’RE NOT GOING TO THE SEAGULL), no drop, with one ( or 2) rest stops w/ bathroom, refreshments to follow INFO
  • Sat, Sept 12: Historic Bike Tour of Industrial Pittsburgh – A leisurely 6-mile ride with lots of stops to point out remnants of the steel industry INFO
  • Sat, Sept 12: Frickn’ DD Ride – Mountain bike ride in Frick Park. First time riding with the group?  Call the contact INFO
  • Sun, Sept 13: 200km Brevet In the spirit of pure randonneuring, minimal support is provided before, during, and after the ride. Membership in the Western PA Wheelmen is required. Registration is required, and encouraged in advance INFO
  • Sun, Sept 13: WPW Fall Rally –  A beautiful SW PA ride on low traffic back roads. This ride is open to the public of all ages and riding ability.  INFO
