Fun event: Ribbon cutting ceremony for 3 more miles on the GAP!

Steel Valley Trail Council and Allegheny Trails Alliance are having an opening ceremony for a new section of the Great Allegheny Passage that runs right below Kennywood along the Monongahela River between the Homestead Waterfront and Duquesne.  The new section is paved, shady, and connects the Waterfront at Homestead to Washington DC (finally)!  It will be a great recreational trail for Pittsburghers wanting to get away from the city for a few hours.

The event: Fri 6/17, 10am, below Rankin Bridge; please enter at Guardian Storage (1002 East Waterfront Dr. Munhall, PA 15120) and you will be directed to parking.
