Join the Walk and Ride PA Coalition for a rally on the Capitol steps for dedicated biking and walking funds in PA
Formed in 2013, Walk and Ride PA is an initiative to expand Pennsylvania’s walking and biking pathways.
Expanding Pennsylvania’s walking and biking pathways will improve the Commonwealth’s economy, environment, public health and roadway safety.
Pennsylvania lawmakers are currently debating a comprehensive funding bill that will set transportation priorities in the Commonwealth for the next decade and beyond. Bicycling and walking are “active” modes of transportation. Even though bicycling and walking compose 12% of all trips in Pennsylvania, NO state transportation funding is dedicated to bicycle or pedestrian projects.
The partners of Walk and Ride PA support a first-ever state investment in active modes of transportation to expand Pennsylvania’s walking and biking infrastructure.
