There are two planned rides for the event, riders are encouraged to choose the option that is better suited for their cycling style and level of comfort.

The Challenge Ride: Covers a large area of the city and contains several hills to climb. Expect to be riding in moderate to heavy traffic.

The Friendly Ride: Covers a smaller area of the city, with fewer Checkpoints, and is on flatter terrain. This is the ride for those who want to have a fun on afternoon on their bike. Riders should feel comfortable riding in traffic.

There is also an option to do both rides, should a rider feel exceptionally charitable.

Event Cost:

Registration is free, but the cost of the ride lies in the food riders purchase for donation.

What do riders need:

A bike, bag, lock, about $20, and a desire to be charitable.

Helmets are Strongly Encouraged.

While extra donations are welcomed, the listed event items are less than a week’s worth of groceries, so don’t expect to be overburdened with an excessive load.

Event Beneficiary: Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank
