Envision Downtown is pleased to present the results of Downtown Pittsburgh’s inaugural Public Space + Public Life Survey conducted in fall 2015. This forum will provide insight into Envision Downtown’s work with Gehl Studio to understand how Pittsburghers use Downtown. Proposed pilot infrastructure projects based on data developed from the PSPL will also be shared for comment to shape their implementation in 2016.Updates and recommendations from the Community Mobility Forum will also be shared for discussion.

Input from the community is sought on the proposed pilot projects and especially on suggested alterations to those projects based on feedback from the Mobility Forum.

Following the forum, Envision Downtown and Bike Pittsburgh are pleased to present a special screening of The Human Scale. The film documents the vision of Gehl Architects and their efforts to build cities that encourage human interaction.

Envision Downtown seeks to develop and implement short-term, accelerated infrastructure projects with the goal of informing longer-term transformative changes to the City’s mobility network. These projects are informed through a robust data development process and then vetted through the Envision Downtown Advisory Committee.

Especially related to the development of a Public Realm Action Plan, Envision Downtown is seeking to directly engage community members to share their vision for improved mobility and livability in Pittsburgh’s Central Neighborhoods. If you are unable to attend the meetings in person, please share your thoughts and ideas online or use #YouEnvision on Twitter.
