Your comments needed on the upcoming transportation projects

Inform yourself and comment on upcoming transportation projects

Every year there is an opportunity for the public to comment on transportation projects that are in the pipeline. This pipeline is called the Transportation Improvement Program, or TIP for short.

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission manages this list, and the comments that come in regarding the millions of dollars in projects. They are looking for people who may be familiar with these areas to add insight and recommendations for improving the project. This is an opportunity to suggest things like making sure that the sponsors know that a particular road is on a bike route, or that there is a need for a sidewalk connection, for example.

The Draft 2017-2020 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is available for public comment and review through Friday, June 3 at 4pm.

There are three ways to provide comment: online, at a public meeting, or by mail.

Future updates will be provided to you using the Public Participation Portal.
