Advice on very young riders, balance bikes, ages, etc.

hi all, so I have a 7 month old son and I've been seeing some videos of people starting a balance bike at a very young age, sometimes even 12 months. While I know that is very dependent on the development of each child, does anyone have any experience with very young children on a balance bike? I would like to hear some of your experiences with young children and balance bikes.  If you feel they are ready, what kind of bike do you recommend, and gear, etc. as for brands, looks like the chicco red bullet is pretty inexpensive but has great reviews. Cruzzee also looks good but much more expensive. My instinct is to not get a strider bike because of the non-rubber wheels, but if anyone can speak to that please do. I know I may need to wait a while for this but I was interested in your opinions. Many thanks, happy Sunday, and go pens.

FWIW:  Thick Bikes will be hosting a Family Try-A-Bike event with 412-Flock during Open Streets on Sunday so you & your family can try out some of the options.  Last I heard they were expecting to have some Striders after Saturday's Strider Cup event, but I don't think that's the only brand they carry.
