Black & Gold Sprints - This Saturday!
Come out to the final race in the Urban Velo/Iron City Bikes Black & Gold Sprints race series this Saturday!
Once again, the race will be held at OTB Bicycle Cafe in the southside. Qualifying starts at 7, with the elimination bracket racing starting at 9.
For those of you not familiar with B&G sprints, it is a head-to-head roller racing, but with not roller skills necessary. We (Urban Velo) has a great setup brought to you by Schwinn featuring two of their Cutter bikes. The bikes are on fork mounts so you don't need to know how to balance on rollers, just how to pedal your a** off.
We'll be doing open qualifying in order to create a bracket. You can qualify as many times as you want prior to the creation of the bracket. Racers will be seeded based on their qualifying times.
We will have a bracket for men and women, so no excuses! Prizes (and some sweet trophies) will be awarded for overall series winner, bracket winners, fastest time and more!

Another Black and Goldsprints success!
A little light on the riders, but the bar packed out as things heated up in the finals. Thanks to everyone who came out and who helped put on another event. I can get surly in the stress of the evening and I apologize.

Brad, I forgot to tell you, when I was out in SLC talkign to them about Sprints, they were telling me they had been talking to Bicardi about some kind of partnership. I don't remember the specifics, but I guess Bicardi was paying for the rollers and such and paying the guys to do a roller racing bar tour around the city. You guys should try to get a hold of them.
