Carbon Fiber Posers on the Montrail trail

I have been seeing an increasing amount of lack of consideration on the Montour trail but by far the worst offenders are what I call “Carbon Fiber Posers”. Those bikers who own a state of the art bike so they think it is OK to ride at extreme speeds regardless of how many families out for and afternoon ride or walk they terrorize and generally piss off. I am not negating the fact that some weekend walkers needed to be reminded to move to the left so bikes can pass safely. However I do not feel the 10 seconds off your total ride time is worth the long time impact of negative relations that may last for years. I feel as a biking community it is to all our best interest to help improve relations with the general public and not detract from it. It is clear that your technology has surpassed your humanity.

You must be talking about the asphalt section of the montour trail (arrowhead trail). People go crazy fast on that section because it is on a slight downgrade. It is very dangerous for everyone.

But... with such lightweight frames and beefy bottom brackets, they probably can't help it.

Did you mean beefy brackets, or just beefy bottoms? When I worked in a shop we were always amused by guys (almost always) trying to shave ounces off their bike when they could have easily shed 15 pounds.

Why address personal account ability when technology and money can not only mask the real problem but make a person feel superior. "To they own self be true"

When i put my carbon zipps on my carbon frame,

with carbon cranks, seatpost, pedals, seat, and

shifters, I

dont just feel superior, it actually confirms it.

The metal bars keep his bike over the UCI minimum weight limit.
