3071, woulda been more if i hadn't broken an arm.

since my original goal was 1k, i'm happy with these results.

2013-01-08 03:14:55

2571 i will not beat that this year unless the weather improves i rode all last winter

A little bit over 2500

2013-01-08 04:02:58

3,160. I'm very happy with that--my goal was 3,000 and that was before I knew I needed foot surgery. I missed the first 7 weeks of the year.

I don't track every single mile, but I know that commuting, errands, and socializing keeps me at around a 50 mile per week average. So I probably did about 2600 plus or minus a hundred miles.

Maybe I'll keep better track of mileage this year...

2013-01-08 05:18:15

6312 from feb 1 to dec 31.

1,432 on Endomondo, plus 210 on the old CarFreeFridays site = 1,642. My goal was to hit 1,000. I'm satisfied.

I never kept track till the national bike callenge but from may - dec little over 4000 miles, but figure i had over 5000 for the year. I am know a milage junkie every single trip is logged.

2013-01-08 14:14:51

I had 1,350 on endomondo from march to august, so I'm going to guess around twice that for the whole year.

No bike computer, no worries, I'm just riding.

Just under 600 miles, but all but about 60 of that is since mid October. Shooting for 2500 in 2013.

2013-01-08 15:13:10

7809.68. Probably my lowest in a decade.

I looked back at the year recently and thought

about it a bunch...

I forgot how freaking awesome March was!

I was lucky enough to have good friends who

would take Weds mornings off to ride long.

2,336 total without importing all my rides on single track, only one 600mi month (CTC and training). I started mountain biking and while I keep my GPS with me, I don't seem to care to check it out like I do with road riding.

I'm always happiest when I'm riding 100-200mi weeks so I'm hoping to have 4k this year + mountain biking. I just wish I could still commute because that would be a no-brainer.

1510. Less mileage junkie than data nerd. I just like knowing things, including how far & how fast I'm going.

I didn't track in 2012 but I should have. It would have inspired me to ride more. I'm tracking now (first outdoor ride of the year was today, after several rides on the old hybrid on the new trainer in the old basement). It was a great morning for a ride too.

1146. Though I'm playing with the idea of getting a "casual" simple bike to add to the stable.

1585, well off my coal of 3085. Longest was 106 with 8,002 feet of climbing.

Can't share my mileage for last year -- didn't track it, but will be tracking in 2013. First recorded ride was a bike/bus commute this morning. Only about 3 miles, but it's a start....!

swalfoort

2,789 Miles for 2012!!

I rode my bike in different States (NY, PA, OH, CO, DC, WV, CA). And did the MS150 once again and my solo bike-tour to DC :)

bikeygirl
2013-01-10 15:39:20

I can figure my mileage since I do the same thing all the time with just a little variation. So thats 20 miles a day M-F and 10 on Sat, except for 3 weeks I was out of town. So I'm on the high side of 5000 miles. Only a couple of horn honks in the way of adverse reaction and 3 or 4 harmless spills on wet or icy roads.

boazo
2013-01-10 17:26:45

I'd estimate I rode just 500 miles or so last year. But on the other hand, last year I doubled the number of states I've biked in. So yay.

steven
2013-01-10 22:25:54

I did track the states i biked in in 2012. Only 4 and D.C, outside of PA. But, that's 90 percent or more af all the states I visited. (missed WV and IN for sure, but spent less than one full day in each, so can't complain too much.)

swalfoort
2013-01-10 22:42:01

oH! oH! I also biked in Spain!!!! In Valencia, Spain :)

bikeygirl
2013-01-10 23:08:05

I estimate about 1300-1500 miles. My commute is pitifully short haha. I broke down and put a computer on my commuter for 2013 so I'll have a more accurate estimate. I have no computer on my trainer or racing bike, but I may invest in a Garmin Edge by the time the weather gets better.

2013-01-10 23:18:49

4,362 MILES. Took me a while to add up my miles. I didn't always remember to use my GPS. Most of the miles are commuting.

marvelousm3
2013-01-11 18:44:09

BikeyGirl, I'm jealous about Spain.

My states were PA, OH, NJ, MD, DC, VA, WV, CA, NV, FL and MN.

Someday I'll be worldwide...

ajbooth
2013-01-11 18:54:41

- 3200 on the regular commute

- 781 over ten days in March, to and from DC plus some riding around there

- 270 or so in mountain bike races

= 4251 total measured, plus some miles here and there going to the store and etc. More than I would have thought!

kbrooks
2013-01-11 22:02:14

Estimating 1500.

That's my only city transprortation, but I drove about that same length on a 2 week vacation.

mick
2013-01-12 00:36:53

2060 miles for me. By far my longest (commuting to work March - Nov, plus a DC/PGH trip).

In 2011 I started feeling like I never wanted to see my bike ever again by about Sept 1. Turns out if you do a better job of resting and recovery, that doesn't happen.

nochasingiguanas

So Mick, you actually can/do drive?

teamdecafweekend

Cars are evil.

Cars ARE evil.

But I am a legal driver and I'll rent a car on occasion. There were two points in my life that I actually owned a car.

Many humorous anecdotes about that. Not using a car for so long, it got wasp nests, for example.

It's seriously embarassing to me that my car milage last year came out to 3300 miles - more than twice my bike milage (vacation, thanksgiving trip, Christmas trip)

mick
2013-01-14 16:00:21

I am curious to know whether I put more miles on the car, the motorcycle, or the bicycle. The m/c got close to 1,600 miles, similar to the bike, but I wasn't paying that close attention. I probably drove the car more, if only because there were a few trips to Ohio.

But the number of times I drove the car may be fewer than the number of times I rode the bike, and that's saying something.

stuinmccandless
2013-01-14 22:15:09

@Stu But the number of times I drove the car may be fewer than the number of times I rode the bike, and that's saying something.

For me, maybe 100:1 (bike rides : car rides). Even so, double milage on the cars.

mick
2013-01-15 02:39:38

me too, but that's because i mostly use the car for long trips (like my 600-mile round trip for Thanksgiving, or my I'm-not-even-sure-how-far weekend trip just past Chicago last July).

I did manage to go from August to November on a single tank, though, and I think the one I bought Sunday night may have been my first since I got back from Thanksgiving.
