Looking for some random things to watch.

robjdlc, are you thinking of "Where are you go?" from the Bicycle Film Festival? That was incredible.

BTW, the BFF not coming through here again? Stinks.

I was channel surfing and I caught the last 5 min of a docu-drama called "the Flying Scotsman", about Graeme Obree, looked pretty intense.

- the flying scottsman is free on hulu (or was)

- "24 solo" is the story of the 24 hour mountain

bike world championships where the leader's kidneys

shut down and release toxins into his bloodstream..

it is nuts

-"Ride the Divide" is the story of the great divide

mountain bike race.

Having ridden the divide, I would think this

probably has some of the best scenery in the world

if it doesnt get too caught up in the race drama.

have not seen it though.

aw man, steevo you got my hopes up, but it looks like the flying scotsman is no longer on hulu.

incidentally, american flyers is on netflix view instantly. i've never seen it, and it looks like more of a drama than a cycling movie (then again, isn't breaking away?), but it looks interesting.

"Blood, Sweat, and Gears" -- The first year of the Slipstream/Chipotle team. Liked it a lot. Features Pittsburgher Mike Friedman qualifying for the Beijing Olympics.

"The Flying Scottsman" is terrible.

Not my favorite, but Red Light Go is a documentary about hipsters in New York. The film culminates with a halloween alleycat. Not a ton of footage of people actually riding bikes, unfortunately. Plastic version is available from Netflix.

+1 Bicycle Dreams.

I'll buy the DVD and a case of hard cider, if someone wants to host a movie night...

"Hell On Wheels" (imdb) is a pretty good documentary that follows some members of the Telekom team (mostly Erik Zabel and Rolf Adlag) during the 2003 Tour de France. It was streaming on netflix for a while, I don't think it is anymore.

I have a copy of Bicycle Dreams here that I will lend to anyone willing to write up a brief review for our website.

Red Light Go

I have a problem with this.

Just wait till you see it. Definitely unflocklike behavior in that film.

You had me at "documentary about hipsters in New York".

red light go glorifies all the worst elements of urban cycling. do not endorse.

...and would probably garner the most attention by mainstream media, eliciting more "WTF with these crazy cyclists!" bullshit... thanks hipsters.
